Tavin Michael Yount
Green Bay, WI. – Tavin Michael Yount, age 23, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Tavin was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, on March 17, 2001, the son of Michael and Jennifer (Schwartz) Yount. He graduated from Baraboo High School in 2019.
Tavin was a loving son and brother, who touched many lives as a rock-solid, fiercely loyal, and caring friend and someone who was witty and funny, making all those around him laugh and smile. He would do absolutely anything for those he cared about. He loved fast cars, aircraft, military history, and Legos.
He was an outstanding and exemplary Marine who served his country with honor and dedication. He loved his fellow Marines, and despite his griping about “bone-headed Marine moves,” he led his Marines with dedication and professionalism beyond his years. He served three years at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina in motor transport. He then moved back to Wisconsin and worked as a Marine recruiter for the past year.
Tavin is survived by his parents, Mike and Jen; his sister, Megan; maternal grandparents, Larry and Marcia Schwarts; paternal grandparents, Terry and Beverly (Gay) Yount; and his girlfriend, Caitlin.
