Kenneth Martin "Ken" Luetkens
Baraboo, WI. – Kenneth Martin “Ken” Luetkens, age 94, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at his residence. Ken was born on April 23, 1929 in Loganville, Wisconsin, the son of Ervin and Nellie (Seamens) Luetkens. He was a graduate of Baraboo High School and attended carpet school in New York, where he trained to become a carpet installer/salesman. Ken worked at Kingsford Furniture for over 33 years and part-time at Walmart for 13 years. On July 26, 1951 he married Dorothy Carol Bible in Dubuque, Iowa. From this union they were blessed with a son, James. In addition, they adopted a son, Damien Luetkens. Ken and Dorothy enjoyed attending sporting activities, square dancing, fishing, hunting, and playing cards with friends of many years. They also loved to travel throughout the United States and internationally visiting Canada, Australia and Europe. Most importantly, Ken was a devoted father and did many things as a family with his children. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include two sons, James (Carol) Luetkens and Damien Luetkens; nine grandchildren, David (Tami) Heinley. Damon (Erika) Hill, Darin (Sara) Hill, Charles (Kelli) Nolden, Cory (Michelle) Rathman, Shane Luetkens, Tonya (James) Steinhorst, Trever Luetkens and Kendalynn Luetkens; one brother, Gerald Luetkens; two sisters, Joan (Wayne) Francois and Joyce Steckl; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Ken was preceded in death by three children, Lee (Karen) Luetkens, Susan Hill and Glenna Rathman; two brothers, Melvin and David Luetkens; and several in-laws. In keeping with Ken’s wishes, no formal services will take place. Baldwin Funeral Services is assisting the family.
