Joyce Elaine Fisher
Joyce Elaine Fisher, age 57, of Baraboo, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was born on Sept. 4, 1955 in Sauk City, the daughter of Damon and Ruth (Wilson) Hamilton. She was a graduate of Sauk City High School and on Dec. 8, 1974, Joyce was united in marriage to Terry Fisher in Baraboo. Joyce was a wonderful wife, loving mother and devoted grandmother. Family was her priority, and she dearly enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren, who were all very special to her. Some of her hobbies included baking, gardening, visiting garage sales, and watching football with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Terry of Baraboo; four children, Angela (Carey) Herring of Belleville, Kurt (Kerry) Fisher of Wisconsin Dells, Emily (Matthew) Hendricks of Marshall, and Damon Fisher of Mead, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, Alexis, Haven, Jenna, Justin, Kylie, Bailey, Boone, Piper, Kennedy, Beckett and Eve; four sisters, Judy (Leo) Krabbenhoft, Janet (Edward) Smith, Jeri (Lyle) Huseth, Joan (Dave) Baker; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., in Baraboo, with Chaplain Shirley Kelter officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Joyce may be given to the family. The family would like to extend a special “thank-you” to Dr. Thomas McFarland, the staff at the Carbone Cancer Center, and to the staff at Agrace Hospice Care, Inc., for the care and attention given to Joyce.
